Defensive Pistol 101, Morgan Hill, CA

Defensive Pistol 101 is our introductory course to using a pistol in anything more than a bench rest environment. This is a one-day class that covers basic gun safety and handling. Topics included are; drawing from a holster and engaging threats, reloads, and malfunction clearances. Lectures will include safety, mindset and basic legal concepts.

There are no prerequisites for this course but NRA Basic Pistol is always recommended for anyone who has had no formal pistol instruction.

Dry Fire Dojo Pistol Stage 1

Dry Fire Dojo Pistol Stage 1 is a two-hour class designed to enforce proper fundamentals of the pistol draw, drawing to retention, unconventional draws in a fight, and fighting from cover. Students will use their own firearm as well as a SIRT Pistol & LASR APP.

  • 3 magazines and carrier (carrier optional for CCW or off duty carriers)

Dry Fire Dojo Carbine Strong/Weak hand only

This is a two hour sessions focussing on strong and weak hand manipulations of the Carbine.  Reloads, Malfunctions, and single hand tourniquet use will be practiced.

Carbine and sling AR variant

Handgun and holster

Supportive belt

3 magazine and holders for both weapons.

Defensive Pistol 102, Morgan Hill, CA

Defensive Pistol 102 is a one-day course. Topics drilled on are; fundamentals of marksmanship, strong and weak hand reloads, strong and weak hand malfunction clearances, engaging multiple threats, shooting from cover/concealment, unconventional shooting positions, and fighting to your handgun. We focus on approaching the training in Defensive Pistol 102 from the home defense and CCW shooters view. Lectures can include topics of legal concepts, medical care, and mindset.

Defensive Pistol 101 or equivalent training is a requirement in order to take this course.

Defensive Shotgun 101, Morgan Hill, CA

Defensive Shotgun 101 is a one-day, eight (8) hour course designed to give students the fundamentals of operating their shotgun in closer (25 yards and in) defensive engagements. Students will gain a solid understanding of reloads, malfunction clearances, and weapon transitions, ammunition selection (positive and negatives). Defensive Shotgun 101 will focus on home and close up engagements with cover vs. concealment, ballistics, and shoot vs. non-shoot being discussed and drilled on.

  • Defensive Shotgun with appropriate sling for weapon transitions and optional side saddle for extra ammunition.

  • 150 rounds for pistol.

Dry Fire Dojo Pistol Skills, Scotts Valley, CA

Dry Fire Dojo is suitable for beginners to advance shooters.

Dry Fire Dojo is a two hour evening seminar to work on basic firearms handling.  Students are required to bring gear with no ammo.  Students will work on draw from different positions, reloads and malfunction clearings in standard/strong/weak hand only.

AR-15 Dry Fire Dojo, Scotts Valley, CA

This Dry Fire Dojo is specific to the AR-15 Rifle.  Two hours of no live fire working transitions, reloads, strong and weak hand manipulations, and unconventional shooting positions.  Space is limited to four persons for maximizing instructor to student time.
