Brannon
Brannon Schell is the owner and instructor at NorCal MedTac. A native to Santa Cruz, CA Brannon has spent over two decades as a First Responder and Paramedic. Brannon’s job duties have included Paramedic, Seasonal Wildland Firefighter, Paid-Call Firefighter, and Field Training Officer. As a Paramedic he has also served on AMR’s Disaster Response Team and had team deployments to Hurricane Katrina, BART Verdict Riots and Oceana Airlines crash.
Brannon’s firearms and tactical background include multiple NRA instructor ratings, CRSO, and he currently serves as the Range Master for the Scotts Valley Sportsmen’s Club. Brannon has completed the CA EMSA and CA POST Accredited SWAT Medic Program and advises agencies on Tactical Medicine programs. Brannon’s credentials include CA HSC instructor, SABRE Personal Safety Academy Instructor, Taser Certified Civilian Trainer, California Firearms Safety Certificate Instructor, Glock Certified Advanced Armorer, Simunition Law Enforcement Instructor, UTM Certification, LASR Instructor, USCCA Instructor, and a CA POST Medical Instructor.
Brannon’s goal for NorCal MedTac is to bring realistic training to all clients based on their particular medical or defensive needs. He strongly believes in training with an emphasis on actual application to real life, world, and duty.
Wendy
Wendy Ramm officially joined the team at NorCal MedTac after a 25 year career in law enforcement for two local agencies. Wendy has worked in patrol, as a Field Training Officer, as a detective in Investigations and spent her last five years as a coroner detective before her retirement in December of 2021. She is a NRA and POST certified firearms instructor in hand gun, rifle and less lethal shotgun. She is a certified Glock and rifle armorer. She is currently an extra help deputy and works as a firearms instructor and armorer for the Sheriff’s Office. She holds a complete resume of experience and CA POST instructor credentials.
Bob
Bob Rodd Jr is an instructor for NorCal MedTac. He is originally from Vermont where he served as a law enforcement officer. Prior to this he worked as a medic in Texas. The former General Manager for a local gun shop and Club Secretary for the Scotts Valley Sportsmen’s Club, he is the owner / gunsmith of Call To Arms Gun Works in New Mexico
Bob is a certified NRA, Pistol, Rifle, Refuse To Be A Victim and Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor in Handgun & Shotgun, SureFire Institute Low-Light Instructor, Simunitions Scenario Instructor, Range Safety Officer (RSO) and Range Technical Team Advisor (RTTA). He is a SABRE Personal Safety Academy instructor, Taser Certified Civilian Trainer, UTM Certification, Simunition Law Enforcement Instructor, LASR Instructor, CA POST Medical Instructor, California Firearms Safety Certificate Instructor and Glock Certified Advanced Armorer. He is passionate about practical, reality based training and life long learning. When needed for specific curriculum, contract needs, or staffing NorCal MedTac calls upon local Law Enforcement and EMS/Fire personnel to assist in delivering the most relevant and safe training classes around.
