The American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Renewal Course is intended for healthcare providers who already hold a current BLS certification and need to renew their Provider card. The course refreshes knowledge and skills in CPR, AED use, and team-based resuscitation while incorporating the latest AHA guidelines.
Course Content Includes

High-quality adult, child, and infant CPR (1- and 2-rescuer)

Use of an AED for all ages

Bag-mask ventilation and rescue breathing techniques

Relief of choking in adults, children, and infants

Effective team dynamics during resuscitation

Updates to reflect the most current AHA science and guidelines

Completion Requirements
To successfully renew and receive the AHA BLS Provider eCard (valid for 2 years):

Actively participate in all course sessions

Demonstrate competency in CPR, AED, bag-mask, and choking relief skills

Pass skills check-offs for adult/child CPR with AED and infant CPR

Achieve a passing score (minimum 84%) on the written exam
Prerequisites

Current, non-expired AHA BLS Provider certification (students must present valid proof on course day)
