Brannon
Brannon Schell, the owner and lead instructor at NorCal MedTac, brings over two decades of experience as a First Responder and Paramedic to his training programs. A native of Santa Cruz, CA, Brannon’s extensive career includes roles as a Paramedic, Seasonal Wildland Firefighter, Paid-Call Firefighter, and Field Training Officer. His dedication to emergency response has also seen him serve on AMR’s Disaster Response Team, with deployments to critical events such as Hurricane Katrina, the BART Verdict Riots, and the Oceana Airlines crash.
Brannon’s expertise extends into the realm of firearms and tactical training. He holds multiple NRA instructor ratings, is a Certified Range Safety Officer (CRSO), and currently serves as the Range Master for the Scotts Valley Sportsmen’s Club. His advanced training includes completion of the CA EMSA and CA POST Accredited SWAT Medic Program, and he provides advisory services to various agencies on Tactical Medicine programs.

Wendy
Wendy Ramm officially joined the NorCal MedTac team following a distinguished 25-year career in law enforcement with two local agencies. Throughout her career, Wendy has served in various capacities including patrol, Field Training Officer, and detective in Investigations. She spent her final five years before retiring in December 2021 as a coroner detective, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role at NorCal MedTac.
Wendy is an accomplished firearms instructor, certified by both the NRA and POST in handgun, rifle, and less-lethal shotgun training. Her credentials also include certifications as a Glock and rifle armorer. In addition to her role at NorCal MedTac, Wendy continues to contribute to law enforcement as an extra help deputy and firearms instructor for the Sheriff’s Office.

Wes Lord is a dedicated instructor at NorCal MedTac, bringing extensive expertise and passion for firearms training and self-defense to their programs. With a background as a USCCA certified instructor, Wes specializes in pistols, rifles, shotguns, and concealed carry weapons (CCW). Wes is committed to empowering individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and effectively handle firearms.
